The American Battle Monuments Commission hosted a ceremony at Sicily-Rome American Cemetery to mark the 82nd anniversary of the landings in Anzio and Nettuno, paying tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of those who fought during these historic events in World War II and are commemorated at the hallowed grounds of the cemetery.  

Under the watchful gaze of approximately 7,900 white headstones, the American Battle Monuments Commission commemorated today the 82nd anniversary of the landings in Anzio and Nettuno at Sicily-Rome American Cemetery.
